Champps Grill and Bar at DFW named Food and Beverage Concessionaire of the Year!
The DFW Concessions department honored its concessionaires at the November 15th Concessionaires Forum, held in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Rental Car Center. Gilbert Aranza, CEO of Star Concessions, was honored as the Food and Beverage Concessionaire of the Year for the Champps Grill and Bar, located in Terminal D near gate 24. The awards are based on mystery shops conducted throughout the year and the award is determined by averaging mystery shop scores and the highest-scoring store in each category is then selected as Concessionaire of the Year for that category. The mystery shoppers evaluate the store appearance, customer service and the overall shopping experience. Carolyn Phillips, Airport Concessions Department Manager, who had the privilege of presenting the awards, commented "It's always an honor to give awards for customer service. Great customer service pays!" The honor of Concessionaire of the Year came with an impressive trophy and a check for $5,000.
