Star Concessions, Ltd. ("Star") is the parent of a group of companies which operate food, beverage, retail and convenience store/service station concessions in airports. Star and each of its affiliated companies is a certified minority business enterprise. Star currently is the largest operator of food and beverage concessions at DFW International Airport. Star presently owns or manages several food and beverage concepts including: Cool River Café, Champps, Cantina Laredo, Taco Bell Express, Pizza Hut Express, East Side Mario's Pronto (a quick service Italian concept), Texas Stadium Bar and Grill (a casual dining restaurant operated in partnership with an affiliate of the Dallas Cowboys), two Texas Stadium Skybox sports bars (a proprietary sports bar also operated in partnership with an affiliate of the Dallas Cowboys), and the Cowtown Bar (a proprietary Western-themed bar). Star operates three Official Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop retail stores, again in partnership with an affiliate of the Dallas Cowboys. Star also operates two mixed-use service stations at DFW International Airport. The first, DFW Mart, is a two-acre facility at the south entrance to the airport, adjacent to the consolidated rent-a-car facility, featuring a 3,500 square foot convenience store, a drive-thru Taco Bell and ten Shell gas dispensing units. The second, Blue Star Mart, is located at the north entrance to the airport and occupies three acres and features a 3,500 square foot convenience store, a 2,600 square foot Whataburger restaurant and drive-thru, and ten Shell gas/diesel dispensing units.
Since February 1995, Star has operated the conference center and the food and beverage concessions at Dallas Love Field Airport. Concepts used at Love Field include: the Cinnabon Bakery units, two full service Chili's Too restaurants, the Antler Bar (a proprietary rustic-themed bar), a food court, featuring deli sandwiches, salads, pastries, gourmet hot dogs and baked potatoes, and Pizza Hut Express, and a Dreyer's Ice Cream shop featuring soft-serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, smoothies and shakes. Star also has food and beverage units in the American Airlines and Continental Express gates at Love Field. In addition, Star operates the Love Field Conference Center, a full service meeting facility located in the main lobby at Love Field. We offer complete meal catering at the Conference Center, either from our set menu, or specially designed for specific requests. In 2006, an affiliate of Star bid for and was awarded the shoe shine concession contract at Love Field.
